What Meditation Really Is:
Loving Kindness

January 17 - February 14
Tuesdays 7 - 9 pm

Loving kindness practice was taught by the Buddha to overcome fear through love. This practice reveals the wealth of unconditional love that naturally arises from our core being, our Buddha nature. Connecting with this love restores our confidence and heals any unresolved emotional wounds we may be carrying. Then we can love ourselves in a healthy way, and more easily develop a loving attitude toward others.

Later stages of the loving kindness practice show us how to expand our love to include everyone - friends, strangers, even enemies. This removes fear and negativity from the way we view the world and the people around us, and helps us respond with love. We are then genuinely ready to wish that our practice may be of real benefit to other people.

This Loving Kindness course is the fourth module of What Meditation Really Is, and is open to anyone who has taken one of the previous WMRI modules or another Rigpa course or retreat.

Loving Kindness will meet on five Tuesdays from 7-9 pm starting January 17th. Suggested donation $75; reduced rate or scholarship available; no one will be turned away for lack of funds. For further information or to reserve a space, please email rigpaRSVP@yahoo.com or call (415) 777-0052.
